What better day than New Year’s Day to begin a new series? This next group of images to kick off 2024 will be set of 100 black and white compositions, one per weekday. It is in part a gesture to begin a practice of creating something everyday, as well as an experiment with the composition of images using the constraints of pure black and white. There’s no story or even idea behind these to begin with, but more often than not, something emerges from the play of shapes against each other.

Truth be told, I’ve gotten a bit of a head start to make sure I don’t miss any days, but I hope you like these as much as I’m enjoying making them.
