This drawing started out as a quick sketch of an AirBNB listing that I had open in my browser. It was initially just an exercise in capturing the essence of the building with some direct, ballpoint pen lines on paper.
After I added in the tree, I felt like I wanted to place a person standing in the foreground. Once I did, the little sketch suggested to me that he was wearing a cape and the idea that it was Dracula emerged. I was delighted by this little juxtaposition so I added the caption.
